D2L: Copying/Cloning an Entire Course

Be sure to start in the class that is being copied to

1: From your course homepage click on the Tools tab located on the navbar.

2: From the dropdown menu under Tools click on the option that says Course Admin

3: Within the Course Administration page click on the blue link titled Import/Export/Copy Components

4: From the Import/Export/Copy Components page under Copy Components from another Org Unit click on the light gray box labeled Search for offering

Click on the blue View History link to see what courses have already been cloned into your course.

Note: if this is a new course and there hasn't been any previous cloning done the View History link will not be visible to you.

5: A "Select Course Offering" box will pop up, and from within the search box, type in the CRN or Instructor Dev you want cloned into your course. Then click the light gray "Search" button. Click the radio button to the left of the course name to select the course you want to clone, then click the blue "Add Selected" box down at the bottom of the popup.

If you are wanting to clone a Master shell or are not the owner of the CRN or Instructor Dev you will need to put in a cloning request through TDX to get the content cloned over for you:

6: The course you selected will populate under the Course to Copy area. You will then click on the blue Copy All Components button to start the copy/cloning process.

7: There will be a loading bar when the copying is in progress. When the copy/cloning has completed the loading bar will change to a gray checkmark
