Creating a Widget

1. From your Course Homepage, navigate to Course Resources then go to Course Admin.

2. In Course Admin, select Widgets.

3. From the Widgets page, select Create Widget.

4. Enter a name and a description for the widget.

5. To add your own HTML content to the widget using the HTML Source Editor, select the Content tab.

6. Select the HTML Source Editor icon and add your HTML custom code then select Save.

7. To apply different styling options to the widget, select Customize Widget Style.

8. In the Widget Style Settings, select desired style to the widget.

  • To hide the title bar, clear the Display Title bar check box.
  • To remove the default border style, clear the Display widget container style check box.
  • Select Prohibit minimizing widget to prevent users from closing the widget on the homepage
  • To set a custom title, in the Widget Name section, select the Custom radio button. Enter your text in the field.

When done, select Save.
