Embedding a Video within a Course File

1. Navigate to the module where you want to add your video. In this example, we are going to select "Module One - Creating a World." In the module, select the blue Upload/Create button and select Create a File to generate a blank page.

2. Enter a title for the file. Use the existing page or choose to browse for templates (optional), only if available. See Checklist #2 for steps on how to browse for templates. Then, select the Insert Stuff symbol.

3. To browse for templates, select Browse for a Template.

4. An Add a File window will appear then select Course Offering Files.

5. Locate the template/s files and select it by .

6. In this example, there are 2 template files within the course. We are going to browse for templates in the Module file.

7. In the Module file, there are 2 existing HTML templates. Select the checkbox for "one-column.html" and the blue "Add" button to view this template.

This the one-column HTML template that we found and can be used when creating a new course file:

3. An Insert Stuff window will appear. Choose the media platform where the video is located. In the example, we are going to select “YouTube.”

4. Type the title of the video in the search bar.  Select the Search button and then select the video you want to use. Scroll down and select the blue “Next” button to preview the video.

5. Select the blue “Insert” button to add the video then select the blue “Save and Close” button.
