Creator+ Trainings

Updated on

1. About

This section walks you through a series of Creator+ video tutorials designed to help you get the most out of each feature.

2. Overview (~10:34 mins)

This session gives a quick introduction to Creator+, the Brightspace tool for building interactive and engaging content. It covers the main components—layouts, elements, practices, and media tools—and shows examples like carousels, flip cards, and tabs, plus how to access Creator+ in your course.

3. Insert Element (~22.5 mins)

The Insert Element feature in Creator+ lets you quickly add interactive and engaging components into your course content without needing advanced design skills. With just a few clicks, you can choose from pre-built elements like accordions, tabs, flip cards, stylized callouts, or image carousels. These elements make it easier to organize information, highlight key points, and keep learners engaged. Once inserted, each element can be customized with your own text, images, or links to fit the flow of your lesson.

4. Insert Practice (~12.33 mins)

This session focuses on Creator+ Practice activities, which allow learners to check their understanding through ungraded, interactive questions. It introduces different practice types—such as fill-in-the-blank, multiple select, and sorting—and demonstrates how to insert and customize a practice activity within the HTML editor.

5. Layouts (~7.50 mins)

This session introduces Layouts in Creator+, which let you organize information in a structured pattern directly in the HTML editor. You’ll learn how to choose from different panel options (such as two panels, 2/3–1/3, or three panels) and how to add text, links, images, or videos within each panel. Layouts help you present content in a clean, accessible, and engaging way for learners.

6. Capture Media Library (~9.41 mins)

This session provides an overview of the Media Library in Brightspace, where you can store, record, and manage your media files. You’ll learn how to access the Media Library, upload or record videos (including screen captures), edit media details, and insert videos into your course. The session also covers storage limits, sharing permissions, and how recorded videos automatically save to your library for reuse across courses.
