About
The Attach Documents tool allows editors to upload supplemental documents to a Syllabus. Attached documents will appear just beneath the table of contents in a published syllabus. Attached documents are intended to supplement the syllabus and will not meet content requirements for any required components within the syllabus. Please make sure the documents you upload are accessible. Use the (link opens in a new tab) Simple Syllabus: Resolving Accessibility Issues guide to assist you. Please let the Approver know you attached documents in the Internal Comment section. They cannot see the attachments unless they open the Attach Documents tool.
Attached documents can only be viewed in the digital version of the syllabus and will not display within the PDF or downloaded version of the document once generated. But when the syllabus is viewed the attachments display beneath the table of contents and selecting an attachment will download the attached document.
Select the "Attach" (1) button to open the tool. File Explorer will open in a new window when you select the "Upload" (2) button. Select one file (3) to upload and select the "Open" (4) button.
Supported file types: Word (.doc, .docx), Pages (.pages), Excel (.xls, .xlsx), PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx), PDF (.pdf), Text (.txt), CSV (.csv, .psv), Image and Video (.jpg, .png, .gif, .mp4). Maximum file size: 25 MB.
Select the "Add" button to attach a file, or drag and drop a file.
The option to edit the file name will appear when you select the file. Select the "Rename this file" (1) pencil icon. Type the new file name in the "Name" (2) text box. Select the "Save" (3) button. Select the "Close" (4) button to close the pop-up window.
