Simple Syllabus: Accessing the Simple Syllabus Dashboard

There are a few ways to access the Simple Syllabus dashboard. It can be accessed via D2L and MyPima. Below is also an overview of the Simple Syllabus dashboard for Instructors, Approvers, and Course Editors.

Cross-listed and stacked courses generate one syllabus per CRN, but only one D2L course shell is created for all sections. To view all syllabi, please use the Simple Syllabus dashboard., https://pima.simplesyllabus.com/.

The Dashboard View for Instructors

Note: The syllabus type (Syllabus or Common Syllabus) is on the top left corner of the syllabus box. The Term (Fall, Spring, etc.) is on the top right corner of the syllabus box.

  1. Filter syllabi by "Subject", "Organization", and/or "instructor." And/Or use the "Search" feature.
  2. Filter syllabi by "Term. And/Or change the "View" from list to column view.
  3. There are "To Do", "Awaiting Approval", and "Completed" columns.

The Dashboard View for Approvers

  1. Filter syllabi by "Subject", "Organization", and/or "instructor." And/Or use the "Search" feature.
  2. Filter syllabi by "Term. And/Or change the "View" from list to column view.
  3. There are "Not Ready", "To Do", and "Completed" columns..

"Not Ready" indicates that the instructor has not submitted the syllabus for approval. "To Do" indicates the syllabus needs to be reviewed for approval.

The Dashboard View for Common Syllabus Editors

  1. Filter syllabi by "Subject", "Organization", and/or "instructor." And/Or use the "Search" feature.
  2. Filter syllabi by "Term. And/Or change the "View" from list to column view.
  3. There are "Not Ready", "To Do", and "Completed" columns..

This role is optional depending on a Department's needs.
