Simple Syllabus: Adding Non-Book Materials to the Required Textbook and Optional/Recommended Components

You may add non-book materials to the Required Textbook component and/or the Optional/Recommended Materials component, such as scientific calculators, safety goggles, etc by following the steps in this article.

Step-By-Step Instructions

1. In this example, we are editing the "Optional/Recommended Materials" component. Start by selecting the pencil icon next to “Add new material.”

2. To insert a picture, select the “Add image” button.

3. You may upload an image file from your device (1) or enter the URL for the image (2).

4. Scroll down and select "Save" to add the image to your syllabus.
