The syllabus has a few required components. They must be completed before the syllabus can be submitted for approval. Below are the steps for completing the required components.
Completion Checklist
The items listed below are not specific to any department and are general components from the college's template. Refer to help text in each editable component for guidance.
Use the "Help Text" and/or the Simple Syllabus: The Instructor Information Component to guide you.
Use the "Help Text" and/or the Simple Syllabus: The Required Textbook(s) and/or Materials Component to guide.
Use the "Help Text" and/or the Simple Syllabus: The Grade Determination and Grading Policies Component to guide you.
Use the "Help Text" and/or the Simple Syllabus: Completing the AI Statement Component (2025-2026) to guide you.
Use the "Help Text" and/or the Simple Syllabus: Toolbar Features in a Component to guide you.
It is NOT mandatory (unless otherwise stated by your direct supervisor) for you to resolve any and all accessibility issues. The Simple Syllabus system will allow you to submit the syllabus for approval with accessibility issues.
Use the Simple Syllabus: Resolving Accessibility Issues guide if needed.
The syllabus will close and a confirmation window will pop-up.
The syllabus will be in the "Awaiting Approval" column.
You will NOT be able to edit the syllabus if the Approver has it under review.
Congratulations! You have completed and submitted your syllabus for approval!
