The following instructions show how to import a component using the import tool in Simple Syllabus, provided you have submitted a template in a prior term. Importing a component will overwrite any existing information within that component. Be aware the PCC Syllabus Template changes once every Academic Year.
Importing all components will overwrite any new changes made to the current Pima Community College (PCC)-level template and may revert your syllabus to an older version of the PCC template. Note that the official PCC-level template is updated annually each academic year.
Template Editors can edit any component that instructors can edit, with the additional capability to lock those editable components. If you decide to lock components that faculty would normally be able to update, please communicate these changes to them ahead of time.
Select the "Import" button within the Department Template you want to import into.
- Search by Term or enter a keyword into the Search field to locate your desired template. (1)
- Select the Template to copy from. (2)
Note: You can only import content from a template that you have previously completed.
- Select the Advanced (select content to import) toggle. (1)
- From the list of components in the Target content area, select the drop down arrow (2) of each component to choose what you want to import it.
Select the Do not import from the drop-down menu next to the components you do not wish to import.
Select the Finalize.
Please remain on the page until the import is complete. Leaving or navigating away before the process finishes may corrupt your components and cause updates to be lost.
- Verify the component(s) selected to import from are accurate. (1)
- Select the Start import of the following content. (2)
Select Close. The page will refresh and the import will be complete.
You must select Submit to complete the import.
