About
The following instructions show how to import all of the components using the import tool in Simple Syllabus. You can only import from your own Common Syllabus Template. Importing a component will overwrite any existing information within that component. Be aware the PCC Syllabus Template changes once every Academic Year.
Use the Simple Syllabus: Importing a Component guide if you do not want to import all of the components. Use the Simple Syllabus: Resetting a Component guide If you need to revert the components to their original versions.
Any components that CST editors can edit are also editable by the instructors of the course. CST editors cannot lock those components. Please communicate with your faculty if you add information that should be retained.
In the search criteria (1), populate the search fields relevant to the course you are importing from such as, "Term", "Subject", "Course number", and/or "Instructor" name. Select the CST (2) to copy from.
Look under the syllabus term and title to identify what type of syllabus is available to import (2).
Verify the component(s) (1) to import from and into are accurate. Select the “Start import of the following content” (2) button.
The PCC Syllabus Template changes once every Academic Year. For example, the AI Statement component has been updated every year. Importing a component will overwrite any existing information within that component. Make sure you are only importing a CST from the same Academic Year.
Select the "Submit" button to complete the import.
Congratulations, you have successfully imported all components!
