PlayPosit: Student Quick Guide

PlayPosit is used by faculty and staff for creating interactive videos. These videos are shared with students within D2L.

Get Started

1. If you have a PlayPosit video being used in your D2L course, you will first select the assignment link.

2. A video frame will appear with the PlayPosit video ready to be started.

3. Once you begin to watch the video, your interactions (questions) will begin to appear throughout the video. Depending on how your instructor set up the video, you may not be able to skip ahead until you answer the required question.

4. Some interactions are auto-graded. You will immediately receive feedback if you answered the question correctly or not. If the answer is correct you will receive a green banner with Correct and the points received below that. If incorrect, you will receive a red banner with Incorrect and the point value showing you did not receive points.

5. Other interactions such as free response need to be graded by the instructor. You will receive an orange asterisk point value after answering such a question until the instructor can grade your response.

6. The video progress bar at the bottom of the video allows you to in order, press play, toggle the sidebar on and off, rewind or fast forward (only if enabled by the instructor), scrub bar with white dots indicating interactions completed, enable Subtitles, make full screen, and the gear wheel enables settings such as increased playback speed.
