PlayPosit: Improving Panopto Video Quality in PlayPosit

Prerequisite: a bulb created using a Panopto video is experiencing poor video quality playback through PlayPosit.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Access Panopto through D2L Panopto Video external learning tool.

2. On Panopto main page, locate a video you would like to improve.

3. Select Settings from the row of options.

4. Select Outputs to change the quality of the video.

5. Navigate to type and quality.

6. Change type to: Primary Video Only and Quality to: 1080 (60fps).

Select Secondary Video Only instead of Primary Video Only if you would like your students to view the shared screen (slide deck, lecture, demo).

7. Select Apply to change these settings.

8. The video should process and publish.

Note: Depending on the content of the video, it may take time to process. When it is processing students aren't able to access it.

View the bulb in PlayPosit to confirm the quality of the video has been improved and the interactive video is working as expected.
