PlayPosit: Removing a Bulb from D2L

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Disassociating the Grade Item from the PlayPosit Bulb

1. Navigate to the Content section of your D2L course and select the module where the PlayPosit you want to remove is located. Next, select the PlayPosit link.

Before deleting the PlayPosit bulb, you must disassociate the bulb from the Grade Item in D2L.

2. Navigate below the video and select the PlayPosit grade item under Assessment

4. Select No Grade and then select Save.

2. Deleting the Grade Item from D2L Grades

1. At the top of your D2L course site, select the Assessment tab and then select the Grades option.

2. Locate the PlayPosit grade item and check the box next to the grade item.

There should not be an External Learning Tool association for your grade item as we disassociated it in the first step of this article.

4. Check the box next to the grade item and then select the Delete button.

5. Select the Delete button in the Confirmation pop-up window. The grade item will now be deleted from D2L Grades.

3. Unlinking the Bulb in PlayPosit

1. Return to your module where your PlayPosit bulb is housed and select the link.

2. Next, select Enter PlayPosit.

3. Find the bulb linked to this assignment, and select the D2L icon to the right of the bulb name.

4. If desired, select Download Data to export the report for the bulb. Next, select Unlink.

5. The bulb has now been successfully unlinked on D2L and PlayPosit. You will now delete the video from your module.

4. Deleting the Bulb from D2L

2. Select the delete option that best fits your purpose from the Delete Topic pop-up window. Then select the Delete button. The PlayPosit Video is now successfully deleted from your D2L content area and grades.

Remove the module and all nested modules and topics from Content but keep all associated files and activities in the course: Selecting this option will delete the module and the topics in it from the Content area, but any files or activities linked to it (e.g., submission folder, discussion topic) will not be deleted.
Permanently delete and remove all nested modules, topics, and all associated files and activities from the course: All associated files and activities will be deleted from the course. This is irreversible.
