Perusall: Instructor Quick Guide

Updated on

What is Perusall?

Perusall is an online social annotation platform that allows instructors to increase student engagement, collaboration, and community within their course. Perusall works with all your favorite course content including books, articles, web pages, videos, podcasts, and images. Instructors can upload content assignments on Perusall so students can read and annotate them collaboratively. It adds variety to the student's learning experience and makes reading content more fluid to retain information efficiently. This is meant for students to be able to have the classroom discussion experience with asynchronous features to provide flexibility.

Getting Started

Make sure students sign into Perusall through D2L not through Persuall's website. It could make the grading and content features that sync to your D2L course problematic.

To utilize Perusall:

1. Add a Perusall Log in

2. Upload Content to Perusall Library

3.  Add the Perusall Course to D2L

Minimum Tech Requirements

To have the best experience with Persuall, it is suggested to have your browser's software up-to-date. In addition, keep your device's hardware/software current to have a seamless interaction.
