Perusall: Adding a Quiz

This article will walk you through how to create a Perusall Quiz. You can incorporate an online quiz into a single or multi-part assignment. This is a great supplement to help students recall what they learned in their assignments. For more information, see Perusall Support.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Select Library and navigate to the Add content dropdown menu to select Quiz.

2. Select the Build Quiz option

You can also import an existing quiz using a QTI package or CSV file.

3. The Quiz editor will open with Question 1 ready to edit. Navigate to the right and select the question format you would like to use. Fill in the information needed.

4. To add subsequent questions, navigate to the top left and select Add question. Add all of your desired questions which will then appear in the menu to the left.

5. Once you are satisfied with your questions, select Settings to customize the Quiz's settings. The settings options will appear.

Name your quiz using naming conventions and include instructions. Select the desired settings for credit and feedback and add a thumbnail image if desired (this will show in Perusall).

6. After you are finished filling out this section, select Save changes on the bottom right. If you select Save changes before you have entered a question and the required title, you will receive a message prompting you to fill those requirements.

7. In the Library section, the new Quiz is now added and shown in the list of content. Navigate here to make edits or assign the quiz. See Perusall: Creating an Assignment for more information.
