About Smart Import
Smart Import is a new generative AI feature provided by H5P.com. This advanced AI is able to analyze imported content and then quickly generate a number of drafts of learning activities. It is possible to import YouTube videos, websites, video files, audio files, document files. Smart Import is able to take imported content and use it to generate a variety of content types including Accordion, Dialogue Cards(Conceptual), Question Set (Quiz), Drag the Words, Interactive Video, Dialogue Cards (Contextual), Summary (Column), and an Interactive Book option that is a compilation of all of these. If there is enough content then Smart Import may also provide an option for a Crossword activity.
The process for using Smart Import is a four step process that involves (1) importing content, (2) editing the transcription of the content, (3) approving key concepts identified by Smart Import, and (4) selecting the content types.
There are limits to Smart Import's abilities. It currently does not perform well with mathematical equations, chemical reactions, physics numericals, spreadsheets, tables, and images with diagrams and/or drawings.
Smart Import does not generate final products. It only produces drafts that will require significant edits.
