H5P: Using Non-English Languages

Updated on

About

H5P provides two options for changing the languages used in content types. One option allows you to set a language of the content type default buttons, etc. The problem with the first option is that it does not change the language input for the textboxes included in the content type. This means screen readers will attempt to read non-English languages in English. The second option allows you to decide which language to use when typing content into certain textboxes.

Not all content types have both of the language options below.

Depending on the pedagogical purpose of the content you are creating, you may want to use both options 1 and 2, or just option 1 or just option 2.

If you do not have the Set Language option in the rich text editor, then please contact the ALT Team. The ALT Team will be able to enable the Set Language option for your Pima H5P account.

Please Note: Some textboxes lack the rich text editor and thereby cannot have a set language. The example Title textbox below shows this limitation.

You are done. Great job!
