1. To begin working on a Discussion, log in to D2L and locate the correct course.
From the course homepage, click the "Tools" menu and select "Discussions" from the drop down.
2. Then, locate the desired discussion and click on the blue link to enter the forum.
3. Notice there is a "Discussion Rubric" link.
If clicked, the Rubric will be displayed to show the requirements for each discussion.
4. Select "Start a New Thread" and it will open up a text box to start the Discussion Post.
5. To conclude, be sure to fill in the required fields including the Subject and Body of the post.
When satisfied, locate and click the "Post" button on the lower left corner.
Notice the boxes for "Pin thread" and "Subscribe to this thread".
If "Pin" is checked, it will keep this discussion at the top of the discussions page.
If "Subscribe" is checked, the D2L user will be notified when others respond to the post.
