Our fall workshop series offers faculty an opportunity to engage with and learn about essential teaching principles that support success in any course format or subject area. These workshops draw on best practices from the D2L Peer Review Framework and our student evaluations of teaching, helping to shape your professional goals and self-assessment. Digital Downloads: Crafting Course Video Updates to Increase Student Belonging
Regular video updates is one of the top requests from our students at Pima. These updates help students feel connected to you as the instructor and their peers. Join us for this in-person only workshop to learn how to plan, record, and automate your regular video updates to build belonging in your courses.
No prior experience with recording video is required. Simply bring your enthusiasm for building student belonging! To fully participate and practice using the tool during the workshop, we recommend bringing a device that you can use to record videos.

Creating Community: Perusall and the Power of Social Learning
In this webinar, we'll delve into the role of social learning in building genuine learning communities within your courses, using Perusall, Pima's tool for social annotation and collaborative reading. We are excited to welcome special guest and PCC's own Perusall champion instructor, Kimlisa Salazar Duchicela, who will share her insights and experiences. Building Belonging: Creating Student Welcome Videos

We'll show you how to use Panopto to record high-quality videos, what to include to boost student engagement, and how to add your video to your D2L course.

Addressing Aggravations: Using H5P to Overcome Student Stumbling Blocks
Is there a concept in your course that students find particularly challenging every year? In this workshop, we'll show you how to use H5P to create personalized learning activities that target those persistent trouble spots.
Never used H5P before? That's okay! Come eager to learn how to create solutions for your students' stumbling blocks. To actively participate in the workshop and try out the tool, we recommend having a device on hand for practice.
