About

The Podcast Club

The first rule of Podcast Club is: Tell everyone everything you learn in Podcast Club! So before you start blabbing to all your friends, what is Podcast Club? Think “book club,” but you can catch up for the next meeting while you do the dishes, drive to work, or take a walk around the neighborhood. This year’s Podcast Club will focus on one of Pima’s five teaching competencies each month: student-centered teaching, educational technology, reflection, ongoing growth and development, and community-mindedness. Engage with Pima peers on a wide variety of teaching and learning topics through asynchronous chats and optional, monthly meetups. Engage HOW and WHEN you want-the TLC Podcast Club is designed with the busy schedules of our faculty in mind.

How to Join

The asynchronous portion of podcast club will be hosted through Perusall. Persuall is an excellent social annotation tool used at the college. For more guidance on getting started in Perusall, please see our support materials. Perusall also has an excellent article on How do I highlight and create, edit, or delete a comment? For more assistance getting started in Perusall, please reach out to [email protected] or schedule an appointment with any member of our team.

Hybrid club meetups will occur the second Friday of every month at 1pm (snacks will be provided!). Engage with other faculty members in person at the Downtown Campus or virtually through Zoom. You will receive more info about joining our hybrid meetups after signing up for the club in Perusall. See the Weekly Agenda and Dates below for more on the topics and dates.
