1. From your course homepage click on the Course Resourced tab located on the navbar
2. From the dropdown menu under Course Resources click on the option that says Course Admin

3. Within the Course Administration page click on the blue link titled Import/Export/Copy Components

4. From the Import/Export/Copy Components page there are three different export options to choose from. Below is the information for each export package.
Export as Brightspace Package:
The Brightspace Package is the standard export for Brightspace LMS, it contains all the necessary resources you need to share your course with another Brightspace site.
The Brightspace Package is based on the IMS Content Packaging specification.
Export as Common Cartridge:
Common Cartridge is a specification developed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium.
The specification describes a set of open standards for content, assessment, and digital content that allows publishers and content creators to create LMS-independent course packages.
Brightspace exports as IMS Common Cartridge 1.3
Export as Thin Common Cartridge:
Thin Common Cartridge (Thin CC) is a specification developed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium.
The Thin CC standard is a subset of Common Cartridge developed to package Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) Links, Web Links, and metadata.
Brightspace exports as IMS Thin CC 1.3.

5. Select the export package you want to use and click the blue Start button

6. From the Select Course Material page, click within the boxes of the content you want exported from the course. Once content has been selected, click the blue Continue button

7. From the Confirm Components to Export page, check to see if you have selected all content you want exported. Scroll down and under Additional Components to Export check the box titled "Include course files in the export package". Once the box is checked, click the blue Export button

8. The export has now started. Once the export is complete, you will get a notification in the Update Alerts icon.
Once you click on the blue "Export finished" link it will then take you to a page that will give you the Export Summary as well as the link to your exported course in a Zip package. Once you click the blue link to download the Zip package you can then save it on whatever device you are using.
