Removing Lockdown Browser for a Student

2. Then, you will be directed to the Quizzes page which will open by default in the Manage Quizzes tab, displaying a list of quizzes and assessments.

3. Look for the specific quiz or assessment from which you wish to remove the LockDown Browser. Select the quiz or assessment action button next to it. In this example, we have selected "1.3 QUIZ-What is a Computer." Then we are going select Edit from the given menu to access its settings and configuration options.

6. In the "Add Users to Special Access" window, scroll down to the bottom and where it says "LockDown Browser", select the checkbox for "Not required to take this quiz."

7. Then under the "Users" area, you will select the student that you want to remove the Respondus LockDown Browser for. In this example, we are going to remove it from Student Test3. Then select the Add Special Access button.

8. You will then be directed back to the Restrictions window then select the Save button.

Before saving and closing the window, make sure to scroll down and verify that the changes have been reflected.

In the following example, you can see that "Student Test 3" displays an unlocked lock icon, indicating that they do not need to use the lockdown browser for the quiz.

9. Lastly, select the Save and Close button to save the changes and exit the page.

Well done! And that is how you remove the Respondus LockDown Browser for a student.
